Traditional reinforced bitumen building paper used as a secondary weatherproof layer beneath roof coverings, behind cladding and as a separating membrane between dissimilar materials. Provides additional protection against wind-driven rain and dust while allowing the structure to breathe. Commonly specified alongside lead and aluminium flashings to prevent staining and isolate the metal from contact with cementitious or timber substrates.
