Our range runs to 35 products across seven different stones — quartz, slate, limestone, sandstone, quartzite, granite and ironstone — in three formats: ZClad interlocking panels, individual cladding slips and mini stacked stone. Stone cladding gives you a genuine stone face without the cost, weight and programme of solid stone masonry. It suits new build and renovation equally, from a single interior feature wall to a full house facade.

What Is ZClad?
ZClad is a natural stone cladding system built around a modular interlocking panel. Every panel is shaped like a "Z" and is around two inches thick. The back half is concrete; the front half is natural stone, with individual pieces of stone embedded into the concrete backing. Each panel is fixed to the wall structure with adhesive. The result is a natural stone veneer with the look of solid stone at a fraction of its thickness.
ZClad describes the system as suitable for a wide range of interior and exterior applications, with the Z-shaped panels giving a seamless finish on both straight walling and corners so that the joints are virtually undetectable. It is designed to be applied quickly and without specialist skills.
The Three Formats We Supply
ZClad interlocking panels — 11 colourways
Panels measure 215mm x 600mm and come three to a box, covering 0.36m². Each panel weighs approximately 10kg. Matching corner pieces measure 215mm x 250/350mm and come two to a box, covering 0.43 linear metres of external corner.
Available in natural quartz, natural slate, natural granite, and a granite and quartz mix: Autumn Gold, Classic, Contemporary, Icelandic Grey, Lakeside Green, Natural, Nordic, Pebble Grey, River Blue, Rustic and Valley Slate.
Best for: large areas, facades, and anyone who wants a fast, repeatable install with an interlocking joint.
Cladding slips — 20 stones
Individual pieces of natural stone rather than a panel, laid like a thin masonry course. Thickness varies by stone, from 15mm up to 35mm, and the coursing style varies with it — random heights and lengths, random shapes, rubble style, coursed with a dressed finish, or square-edged with varying heights.
The range covers limestone (Purbeck White, White Lias, Blue Lias, Blue Limestone, Cotswold Cream, Dorset Cream, Purbeck Blue, Purbeck Rag), sandstone (Wooton, Grit Stone, Callow, Forest of Dean), slate (Dark Slate, Slate Cladding Slips, Classic Slips), quartz (Autumn Gold, Natural, Nordic), quartzite (Gold Quartzite) and ironstone (Great Tew).
Best for: heritage and regional work, where the wall needs to read as local stone rather than as a cladding system.
Mini stacked stone — 4 colourways
Small-format pieces measuring 400mm x 100mm at 6-15mm thick, supplied twelve to a box covering 0.432m². Available in Charcoal slate and Oyster, Ochre Rustic and River Blue quartzite.
Best for: interior feature walls and smaller areas where a fine, textured, three-dimensional finish is wanted. Mini stacked stone is the one format we do not supply corner pieces for.
Corner Pieces
External corners are where cladding either looks right or gives itself away. A mitred cut leaves a visible seam; a purpose-made corner piece returns the stone around the angle so the corner reads as solid stone.
We supply matching corner pieces for 31 of our 35 cladding products — every ZClad panel and every cladding slip in the range. The four mini stacked stone colourways are supplied as flat pieces only, which is why that format suits interior feature walls better than external elevations with returns.
ZClad corners cover 0.43 linear metres per box, so measure your external corners in linear metres and your flat walling in square metres — they are ordered separately.
Exterior Stone Cladding
Every ZClad colourway in our range is rated for exterior as well as interior use, so the choice outside is aesthetic rather than technical.
Typical exterior applications we supply for:
- House facades, gable ends and full elevations
- Extensions, where new work has to sit against existing stone or brick
- Garden, boundary and retaining walls
- Garages, outbuildings and garden rooms
- Porches, pillars and entrance features
- Commercial frontages

Interior Stone Cladding
Inside, stone cladding is used for feature walls, fireplaces and chimney breasts, hallways, media walls, stairwells, and bar and reception fronts. Mini stacked stone and the thinner cladding slips work particularly well indoors, where the reduced thickness matters more and there are no external corners to return.
Why Choose Natural Stone Cladding?
Natural stone wall cladding — a genuine stone veneer rather than an artificial substitute — offers a timeless aesthetic that enhances property value and kerb appeal. Unlike artificial alternatives, genuine stone cladding weathers beautifully and maintains its character for decades.
Our ZClad system combines the beauty of natural stone with modern installation techniques, making it accessible for both new build projects and renovation works.
Whether you're creating a feature wall, refreshing a tired facade, or adding character to a commercial property, our stone cladding delivers results that stand the test of time.
It's ideal for domestic, business and local authority projects, and suits both modern and traditional buildings.
Buying ZClad
We are a ZClad stockist, supplying the full ZClad range with nationwide delivery from our base in Cheshire. If you are looking to buy ZClad panels in the UK, or you need ZClad prices, coverage figures or corner pieces for a job you are quoting, we can price it against your measurements rather than a rate card.
ZClad samples are free. Tell us which of the eleven ZClad colourways you are considering and we will send them out so you can see the stone against your own brick and your own light before you commit.
ZClad corner pieces are supplied for every colourway in the range and are ordered by the linear metre, separately from the flat walling.

Measure the flat wall area in square metres and the external corners in linear metres, then add an allowance for cutting.
- ZClad panels: one box covers 0.36m², so roughly three boxes per square metre
- ZClad corners: one box covers 0.43 linear metres of corner
- Mini stacked stone: one box covers 0.432m², so roughly two and a half boxes per square metre
Cladding slips are supplied by area rather than by fixed box coverage; send us your measurements and we will quantify the job.
Choosing Between the Formats
If the priority is speed and a large area, ZClad panels are the answer — an interlocking joint, a consistent module and no specialist labour.
If the priority is matching a local vernacular, cladding slips give you the coursing styles and the regional stones to do it — Cotswold Cream, Purbeck, Forest of Dean, Great Tew ironstone.
If it is an interior feature wall, mini stacked stone gives the most texture for the least thickness.
If you are unsure, order samples. Seeing three stones against your own light and your own brick settles it faster than any photograph.
